The most commonly played sport on Earth is “Association Football”. While it’s known to many Australians simply as “Soccer”, worldwide it’s just “Football”. This site is a sample of the many men and women playing for the various social football (soccer) teams in and around the greater Townsville district of North Queensland, Australia, as seen through Steve McBride’s camera.
The seniors teams featured on this site are Brothers, Burdekin, Estates Knights, Goldfields United (Charters Towers), Ingham Wolves, MA Olympic, Northern Fury, Rebels, Ross River JCU, Saints Eagles Souths, Townsville Warriors and Wulguru United.
